Following a full time switch to the British GT Championship, Rob was left with a rare weekend without a race. In true driver style, following an approach from Britcar, he agreed to drive the Safety Car at the Brands Hatch round of the Britcar Championship on the 14th June. Rob drove Britcar's brand new Safety Car for the 3 Hour Britcar, the PS1 championship and the Kuhmo Tyres Championship.

Commenting on the day "The first few session were pretty clean meaning were weren't deployed, however all changed towards the end of the Britcar Race. We were deployed 3 times in quick succession towards the end of the race and making it quite exciting!". Rob stated that although he enjoyed the day, it doesn't compare to racing and can't wait to get competitively back on the track!
